Some ZoneAlarm users have been prompted to install Windows Hotfix KB943232 on their computer before installing ZoneAlarm version 8.

This Hotfix only needs to be installed "if" the computer doesn't have all the latest Microsoft Security Updates installed. We highly recommend that all the latest Microsoft Security Updates are installed on the computer as part of the overall approach to staying secure. To check for available updates please click here:

We recommend that all "Critical" (and possibly "Recommended") updates are installed on the computer. After any updates are installed, the computer should be restarted and the check for Microsoft updates should be run again. This process should be repeated until there are no more updates to install.

When all the updates are installed, ZoneAlarm should install on the computer without any problems.
