| Why can't I trial ZoneAlarm DataLock? |
As ZoneAlarm DataLock encrypts the whole hard drive, trials are therefore not practical. However, if you are un happy with the product, you can obtain a refund under the following conditions: Refund Policy

| Do I need to renew my purchase of ZoneAlarm DataLock each year? |
If you choose not to renew your ZoneAlarm DataLock product annually, it will still be fully functional. However, a small renewal fee is required for ongoing technical support of ZoneAlarm DataLock after the first year. |

| How will ZoneAlarm DataLock affect my every-day computer experience? |
You will see an encryption login screen every time you startup your computer. This login gives you secure access to your encrypted system. As you edit and add files to your computer, they are automatically encrypted. This is invisible to you and there is nothing for you to manage.

| Can I still work on my computer while it's encrypting? |
Yes, use your laptop as you normally do. The encryption process runs in the background and is invisible to you. You can also log in, log out, and shutdown as needed at any time.

| What are the password requirements (how many letters, variation, etc)? |
Minimum of 8 characters, using any characters you want. We recommend mixing your characters (upper and lower case, numbers, punctuation), but you are not forced to do so. |

| Does my Windows log-in password protect me if my laptop is stolen? And if I use it with ZoneAlarm DataLock, do I have to login twice? |
The Windows login is easily bypassed. For example, thieves can bypass it by using a USB stick with an operating system. If you decide to keep using the Windows login with ZoneAlarm DataLock, then there will be two logins to access your computer.
